Location
Morinville is located in Sturgeon County (which has their offices in Morinville). Sturgeon County hugs the cities of St. Albert and Edmonton to the south, follows the North Saskatchewan river to the east, reaches just north of the Town of Legal, and touches Sandy Lake in the west. The towns of Bon Accord, Gibbons, Legal, Redwater, and many others are also located in Sturgeon County, as is the Edmonton Garrison.
