New Dump Pass System at Roseridge Landfill
While continuing to provide weekly curbside garbage and recycling collection year round and bi-weekly yard waste collection from May 1 to October 31, a new user pay system has been implemented effective January 1, 2010. The new user pay system allows residents to pay for any extra solid waste disposed at the Roseridge Landfill through their Town of Morinville utility bills. Residents can obtain a new solid waste pass at the Town Office (10125 100 Avenue) which will allow for the disposal of large items or quantities of solid waste (garbage, yard waste and recycling) that cannot be placed out for curbside collection. The cost associated with the disposal will be added to the monthly utility bills at a cost of $0.0368/per kilogram or $36.80/metric tonne (1,000 kilograms).
