Grants and Subsidies

There are a number of provincial and federal grant programs that might be available to you. The Town also coordinates the three grant programs listed below. For assistance in applying or identifying applicable grants, please contact Amy Dribnenky, FCSS Coordinator.

PASS – The Town provides this program for low income persons to assist with access to Town recreation programs and transit service. Applications are available here. If you do not meet the income requirements, and require support, please contact us to assist you further.

COUNCIL COMMUNITY GRANT – The Town provides grants to assist individuals or groups with the costs associated with hosting Community Events, travel to participate in significant events, start-up of an organization or community group, or other items approved by Council. Applications and criteria can be downloaded here.

FCSS - FCSS Grants may be applied for if you are promoting the social development of children and their families, enrich and strengthen family life, enhance the quality of life of the retired and semi retired, promote and support volunteer work, informat the public of available services. The grant deadlines are May 31 and November 30. Guidelines, Application forms and Evaluation forms can be downloaded here.

STAY-AT-HOME PARENTS SUPPORT PROGRAM – The Town coordinates this provincial program for qualifying stay-at-home parents. A subsidy of up to $100 per month is available for each preschool age child who is participating in the approved preschool programs. Please contact Amy Dribnenky, FCSS Coordinator.
