Roads
The Town of Morinville Public Works Department has many programs and activities in place to maintain the road network within the community during the two primary seasons - summer and winter. In summer, the Roads crews will repair potholes, complete asphalt crack-sealing, paint lines and crosswalks, repair sidewalks, sweep the streets and grade roads and lanes. In winter, the Roads crew focus on snow clearing and removal, ice control and emergency roadway repairs.
Curb Ramps
A reminder to all home owners that curb ramps need to be removed now that the snow has arrived. They can easily be damaged or displaced by Town equipment. The Town will not be responsible for replacing any damaged ramps. Home owners will be responsible for any damages caused to Town equipment by the curb ramps that are not removed.
General Construction Work
The Public Works Department is ramping up for a busy season of work on the Town's infrastructure including asphalt repairs, crack sealing, sidewalk repairs, line painting and water valve replacement. Please obey any posted street signs and traffic control people as these measures have been taken to protect staff and ensure the work can be completed as quickly as possible. Advance notification for specific construction work will be given to residents and businesses to mitigate the impact of any service disruptions.
