Subdivision and Development Appeal Board

The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) hears appeals to Subdivision & Development decisions made by the Town's Subdivision and Development Authorities. The Board operates as quasi-judicial decision making tribunal which is established under the Province of Alberta's Municipal Government Act and represents the Town's final decision on the matters before it.

SDAB has 5 members comprising of 2 Council members and 3members of the public at large.

SDAB is required to meet within 30 days of any appeal launched on a Subdivision or Development decision and meet for hearings as frequently as is necessary.

A decision against the appeal or for the appeal is made at the conclusion of the hearing.
