Planning and Development
About
The Planning and Development Department is responsible for daily and long-range community planning and development matters within the Town.
To ensure that the Town is planned and developed in an orderly and economical manner, the Department maintains and is guided by a number of statutory and non-statutory land use planning documents (MDP, ASPs, etc.) and the Land Use Bylaw (LUB). Please review our Planning Primer to introduce the basics of land use and community planning.
The Department is the public’s information contact for all Town planning and development matters, and can provide all information required to undertake your project – be it a sign, deck, shed, house, or new subdivision.
