Existing MDP
The Municipal Development Plan (PDF) Bylaw 19/98 is the Town’s primary planning document. This document outlines factors that affect the Town's development; it guides and directs future land use and development policies.
The MDP defines goals, objectives, and specific polices that consider growth management, utility and transportation infrastructure, and the development of residential, commercial, industrial, other land uses. Together, these policies influence and affect the size, shape and quality of the Town.
The planning policies stated in the MDP also allow residents and developers to understand the community’s direction on future growth strategy (related: MDP Future Land Use Map); as such, it forms a starting point for more detailed planning and development.
