We are aware of the green algae issue that is occurring at Sunshine Lake and thank residents for bringing forward their concerns. We continue monitoring the water conditions; however, the algae is most prevalent during long, warm weather periods.

We have conducted an assessment of the pond, consulted with experts and reviewed our options including investigating short term solutions; however they are not feasible at this time mostly due to requiring various agencies approvals such as Alberta Environment.
