Morinville Fire Department issues fire restriction

Morinville, Alta. – As of 4:30 p.m. today, Morinville Fire Department is implementing a fire restriction due to ongoing dry conditions. Residents are urged to be cautious and comply with safe fire practices as the likelihood of grass fires and wildfires increases.
The following measures are currently in place:
- Approved Fire Pits: Only the use of approved backyard fire pits that meet the specifications of the Land Use Bylaw are permitted.

Morinville, AB – Property owners will receive their property assessment notices in the next few days, as they were mailed on February 29. Update Jan 30: Morinville continues water conservation measures in “Water Demand Measure "C” in accordance with the Water Utility Bylaw.
Water Demand Measure “C” is a ban on all non-essential water use from all customers.

Morinville Implements Water Restrictions
Effective immediately, Morinville has entered into “Water Demand Measure B” in an effort to lessen non-essential water usage. The restriction is a precautionary measure while EPCOR is conducting repairs at the E.L. Smith Water Treatment Plant. During these repairs there is reduced available supply of water.
