Morinville Leisure Centre and Community Cultural Centre Temporarily Closed Due to Extreme Weather

Morinville, Alta. – The extreme weather conditions have resulted in mechanical HVAC system issues, causing us to close the Morinville Leisure Centre and the Morinville Community Cultural Centre.
These facilities will be closed from Friday, January 12, through Sunday, January 14. Unless otherwise notified, we plan to resume regular hours of operation on Monday, January 15.
Our staff are working diligently to address and resolve these issues. We apologize for any inconvenience that this causes.

Close to 170 submissions were received and we are pleased to share the top 20 names based on the short list judging criteria: family friendly, creativity, originality, and best incorporation of the name Morinville.

Morinville, Alta. – Morinville Council passed the 2024 – 2026 Operating Budget and the 2024 to 2033 Long-Term Capital Plan at their Regular Meeting of Council on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
