The Town of Morinville Presents a Free Volunteer Development Workshop
Improve your recruitment process and learn how to create compelling volunteer roles
Morinville, AB - The Town of Morinville is pleased to present a free Volunteer Development Workshop on Thursday, March 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Morinville Community Cultural Centre. This workshop is recommended for anyone responsible for creating and recruiting volunteer roles, with the focus on the perspective of what makes a great volunteer experience.
Facilitated by Marie Gervais, PHD., CEO of Shift Management, participants will learn:
- How to create a volunteer role that is compelling and inviting
- Which questions to ask to match the right volunteer for the right position
- Tools to improve volunteer retention
- Networking opportunity to practice recruiting strategies learned during workshop
“Knowing that volunteers are the heart of many events and programs within our own community, we want to provide the knowledge, expertise and networking opportunities that are essential in creating positive volunteer experiences.” explains Barb Adamson, Community Recreation Coordinator.
