Morinville Art Club, Sunrise to Sunset Create-a-Thon & Art Sale

Morinville Community Cultural Centre, 9502 100 Avenue

From 5 a.m. until 10 p.m., local artists will hold vigil in creating works of art. Community members are welcome to join, as they can, to share in the joy of creative expression and unity. Original work will be on display and available for purchase ($). Plus, the Art Club is celebrating their 45th anniversary with a special community art project. Be sure to stop by the Create-a-Thon station at the MCCC, in the front covered patio area.

Mayor & Council Pancake Breakfast

Mayor & Council will be offering a free, hearty breakfast and entertainment to kick off the day!

Festival Fun Zone, presented by Putnam Law LLP

The Saturday festival action will take place in, around and behind the MCCC. The Festival Fun Zone features big variety for everyone! 

  • Festival Fun hosted by the Town of Morinville -
    • Putnam Law LLP Supersized Colouring Wall - Take a turn colouring on the 20 foot long Supersized Colouring Wall.
    • A Candy Carnival presented by Bantle's Candy Corner - Play fun games to win sweet treats.
    • Community Services Summer Fun Station - Visit the Summer Fun Station to find out information about Town of Morinville Summer Camps, Summer Traveling Adventure program and Block Parties.
    • Cattail Crossing Golf & Winter Club- Drop by to test your skills on their putting green and enter to win a great prize.
    • Century 21 Masters - Drop by for a visit with Ashley Moore and her team and receive free candy.
    • RE/MAX River City (St. Albert)- Drop by with for a visit with Stephanie Richter to get free temporary tattoos and mini frisbees. 
    • Balloon Artist - Say hi to Russ as he delights young and old with balloon masterpieces.
    • Glitter Tattoos - Mark the Festival Days weekend with fun glitter tattoos.
    • Musical Performances - Local talent will entertain festival goers.
    • Photo Booth - Strike a pose and receive a printout to take home.
    • Professional Sidewalk Chalk Art - Featured on CBC and CTV, local Edmonton Chalk Artist, Jeff Maruniak will create a professional chalk art creation for public viewing. Lots of chalk will be on hand for everyone to try their hand at chalk art.
    • Roving Cirque Performers - Be dazzled by the Edmonton-based roving performers.
      • Slinkies 9:15 to 9:30 a.m., 10:15 to 10:30 a.m. & 11:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. 
      • Acrobatic Duo 9:40 to 10 a.m., 10:40 to 11 a.m. & 12:15 to 12:35 p.m.
      • Hoverboard 11:15 to 11:35 a.m. 
  • Food Trucks 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ($) - Be sure to grab a bite to eat from a local food truck.
  • "Kiddie Commando" Obstacle Course & Military Vehicle Displays - Drop by to test your skills and check out some amazing military vehicles.
  • Morinville Public Library - Walk the story path and enjoy a larger-than-life story experience, plus give axe throwing a whirl, thanks to your local library.

NAPA Morinville Show ‘N Shine

100 Street between 100 Avenue and 97 Avenue 

Show up and show off!  Proudly display your motorcycle, hot rod, classic or custom vehicle. All Show n' Shine proceeds support the Jessica Martel Memorial Foundation. Register online or in-store at NAPA Morinville or by calling Morinville Home Hardware at 780-939-2100.

Morinville Firefighter Combat Challenge, presented by Cattail Crossing Golf & Winter Club 

Morinville Leisure Centre, 25126 SH642, Sturgeon County 

Watch the region’s finest volunteer firefighters battle it out for bragging rights, enjoy the Cattail Crossing Golf & Winter Club beer gardens, food trucks and entertainment.

The Father's House Movie Day & Summer Fun Party

Showtimes: 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Register today! 
TFH Church is hosting a free movie day! Join them in their auditorium to see the 2021 animated film "Luca." 
There will be dollar concession ($) filled with tons of goodies, popcorn, and drinks (cash and cards accepted). Luca is a fun movie for every age. Registration is required for this event so make sure you get a spot for you and your family!

1 to 4 p.m. 
The Summer Fun Party will feature bouncy castles, obstacle course, face painting, glitter tattoos, cotton candy, hot dogs, games and much more! Free to attend, no registration required, rain or shine event.

Jersey Boulevard Concert

Jersey Boulevard is a multi tribute band that brings the excitement of Bon Jovi and Journey's original live show to life. From the deep soulful melodies and guitar fireworks of Journey to the classic sing-along area rock anthems of Bon Jovi, Jersey Boulevard conjures the sights, sounds and energy of these legendary bands at the peak of their careers.
