Morinville RCMP

The RCMP is Canada's national police service, providing federal law enforcement services in detachments across the country. The Town of Morinville contracts the RCMP to provide local police services for its citizens and provides the RCMP with three administrative staff, which the Town employs.

In Alberta, the RCMP serves as the provincial police force, as is the case in all provinces except Ontario and Quebec.

Emergency Medical Services

Ground ambulance services are available in the Town of Morinville and are the responsibility of the provincial health authority, Alberta Health Services (AHS), since April 2009. Ground ambulance services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. In emergency situations, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) crews stabilize people who are injured or sick and transport them to the nearest health care facility if further treatment is required.
