School Supplies Needed: This has been a difficult year for many and back to school supplies are often considered a luxury. While all supplies are welcome, we are in great need of such items as: pencil crayons, pencils & erasers, pens, earbuds, calculators, glue sticks & white glue, etc. Please drop off items at either Town Hall or the Morinville Community Cultural Centre by Monday, August 21.
Appointment of Residents to Boards/Committees: The Town of Morinville invites applications from residents who are interested in serving on the following Committee(s): Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB)- 2 vacancies; Municipal Planning Commission (MPC)- 2 vacancies. Please submit your application no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, September 29 to the Town Office.
Derina Harvey Band: This Alberta-based Celtic-rock act led by fearless frontwoman Derina Harvey return to the CCC Friday, September 15 (Dinner: 6:30 p.m.; Performance: 8 p.m.). Tickets are Adult $55 | Senior $50 and can be purchased at the CCC Box Office, online at www.tixonthesquare.ca (additional fees apply) or by phone at 780.939.7839 starting August 15!
Incredible Edibles: Limited quantities of broccoli and chard ready to be picked at the east entrance bed, as well as herbs in the concrete aggregate planters along 100 Avenue. Additionally, lettuce, beets, beans, peas and dill are ready at the Public Works Shop; chard, lettuce and kale at Town Hall! These edibles are for ALL residents, so please help yourselves...and enjoy!

2017 Toilet Rebate Program: Morinville is offering a rebate to residents, rental properties and business owners to encourage the replacement of old and inefficient toilets with low-flush or dual-flush toilets to reduce water consumption.
