Fire-Icon-UnFullMorinville Fire Ban Lifted, effective May 20, 2016: With the recent cooler temperatures, some precipitation in the past 24 hours, and more rain forecasted for the next 48 hours, the Morinville Fire Department has lifted the fire ban effective May 20, 2016. Fire Ban signs are posted at the entrances into Town, and will remain in place over the weekend as the company is unavailable to pick them up. The signs will remain, but the ban has been lifted.

35 48x48The Town of Morinville is currently undertaking a 2016 Resident Survey to determine satisfaction with such things as civic services, financial planning & communication. This survey is available from May 15 to June 30 online or via hard copy available at the Town Office, Community Cultural Centre or Public Library. The survey can be accessed by clicking here.

53 48x48Census 2016: The online portion of the Municipal Census is now closed. We are happy to report that, to date, 49% of residents have responded online and many others with enumerators at the door. Your participation is vital to ensure that programs and services are appropriately planned for in our community. Enumerators will continue to go door-to-door until June 30th, 2016.

23 48x48Utility Bylaw Revisions: As a means to reduce ongoing collection efforts, the Town of Morinville is proposing utility bylaw revisions which will no longer permit utility accounts in tenants names on a go-forward basis effective July 1, 2016. 1st and 2nd Reading has been received for the proposed bylaw, and 3rd reading will be brought forward on May 24.
