Waste Collection Services: As indicated by the letter mailed to Morinville homes, GFL Environmental will begin to replace the green waste collection carts with grey ones beginning May 8, 2017 for performance reasons. Please direct any questions to here.
Sports Field Hotline: Call the Sports Field Hotline at 780.939.6635 for soccer, slow-pitch and minor baseball field updates. The hotline is upldated as needed. For bookings & inquiries, please contact Community Services at 780.939.7839.
Business Retention and Expansion Survey: The Town has partnered with MDB Insight to conduct a 15 minute telephone survey of 100 random town businesses. The results of the survey will help us understand and respond to local business needs. If you are contacted by MDB, we would apreciate your cooperation in completing this survey. Thank you.
Street Sweeping is now in progress. Advance notice signs are being placed in residential subdivisions advising residents to move vehicles to allow crews access to achieve a thorough cleaning. Please remove all driveway ramps and obey the "no Parking" signs until they are removed. Contact Public Works at 780-939-2590 for more information.
At the March 28 Council Meeting, significant decisions were made regarding the Morinville Regional Recreation Complex. Stantec also presented a number of slides, including a conceptual rendering of the external of the facility. 2017 Toilet Rebate Program: Morinville is offering a rebate to residents, rental properties and business owners to encourage the replacement of old and inefficient toilets with low-flush or dual-flush toilets to reduce water consumption. The program is retroactive to January 1, 2017. Access complete details including program requirements and application form.
Community Grants: 2nd intake deadline - May 31, 2017. If you are a not-for-profit organization, community group, team, organization or association of Morinville and have projects that benefit our community, you may qualify for assistance through the Community Grant Program.
