Boards and Committees

Council boards and committees

Each year, Town Council appoints members of the community to its municipal boards and committees.

Morinville boards and committees are comprised of Council representatives, members of public and organization/group representatives. This is a wonderful opportunity for residents to take part in the decision making process on issues that affect our Town.

Generally, Council representatives serve 1-year terms and members of public and organization/group representatives serve 3-year terms (unless otherwise directed by legislation/bylaw or Council resolution). Members can be re-appointed for successive terms (unless otherwise directed by legislation/bylaw or Council resolution). Recruitment takes place every fall for terms that take effect November 1.

Applications for 2023 vacancies closed September 25 and interviews were completed October 3 & 5, 2023.

Town Council appointed successful applicants at the October 24, 2023, Organizational Meeting of Council.
