Council boards and committees
Each year, Town Council appoints members of the community to its municipal boards and committees.
Morinville boards and committees are comprised of Council representatives, members of public and organization/group representatives. This is a wonderful opportunity for residents to take part in the decision making process on issues that affect our Town.
Generally, Council representatives serve 1-year terms and members of public and organization/group representatives serve 3-year terms (unless otherwise directed by legislation/bylaw or Council resolution). Members can be re-appointed for successive terms (unless otherwise directed by legislation/bylaw or Council resolution). Recruitment takes place every fall for terms that take effect November 1.

Community Services Advisory Committee
The Community Services Advisory Committee advises Morinville Council on matters related to social well-being of our residents.
- 3-year term
- Meets monthly for approximately 2 hours per month
Council Remuneration Review Committee
The Council Remuneration Review Committee advises Morinville Council on matters related to the salary for Mayor Councillors', per diems, benefits, and other matters that may affect remuneration.
- Appointed July 2024 and ending December 31, 2024 (approx. 6 months).

Morinville Public Library Board
The Morinville Public Library Board is responsible for the Public Library.

- Meets monthly for approximately 3 hours per month
Subdivision and Development Appeal Board
The Subdivision and Development Appeal Board (SDAB) hears appeals from people affected by decisions of the Development Authority.
