Lisa Parenteau has been proud to call Morinville home since age 14, when she and her parents moved from Bon Accord. Raised in a family deeply rooted in service, Lisa grew up watching her parents give back. Her mother has volunteered with Midstream for over 20 years, while her late father, Paul Krauskopf, served through Morinville Council, the Knights of Columbus and the Catholic Church.
Lisa graduated from Morinville Community High School in 1996 and studied Travel and Tourism at Grant MacEwan College. She later built a career in customer service and management in vehicle rentals and furniture retail.
After the birth of her two sons, Myles and Rylin, Lisa joined Capital Vision Care. After more than five years with the clinic, she advanced into a management role with FYidoctors in St. Albert, where she managed the practice for over eight years. In 2021, Lisa returned to her roots and invested in Morinville by opening I Candy Optical, a locally owned business she has operated for four years.
Lisa has volunteered with Midstream’s Santa Store for over 20 years and is also an active Rotary volunteer. She and her husband are raising a blended family of four boys — Myles, Rylin, Mason, and Owen.
As a Morinville Councillor, Lisa is committed to supporting families and local businesses, and helping the community grow and thrive for generations.
