Utility Accounts and Billing

Canada Post Strike: Utility Bill Payment Information

With the ongoing Canada Post strike limiting our ability to distribute paper mail, residents who typically receive paper utility bills will need to use alternative methods to receive and pay for their bills. Morinville residents remain responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payment of their utility bills, as the strike does not delay your payment deadline.

Please note that the next utility bills will be available on Tuesday, December 10; make sure to pay on time to avoid any late fees. Alternative payment options and more information are noted below:

  • Sign up for electronic billing—Email tax-utilities@morinville.ca to start this process.
  • Pay through your financial institution—You can pay your utility bill directly through online banking.
  • Paper bills are available for pickup—Stop by Town Hall* to pick up your bill.
  • Account balances can be shared over the phone—Our staff are happy to assist you with account inquiries and balances over the phone.
  • Town Hall has a secure drop box for cheque payments, which is located on the east side of Town Hall’s* front doors.

The Town of Morinville remains committed to supporting our community, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

*Town Hall is located at 10125 100 Avenue and is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (closed from 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m.)
