Flowpoint Fun Skate Returns for a Third Season this Fall

Morinville, Alta. - The Town of Morinville is excited to announce the return of the Flowpoint Fun Skate for the 2025–2026 season, thanks to the continued support of Flowpoint Environmental Systems (Flowpoint). This marks the third consecutive year Flowpoint has sponsored the popular free skating program, reaffirming its commitment to accessible, community-based recreation. 

Offered Sundays from 2:15 to 4:15 p.m. at the Morinville Leisure Centre, the Flowpoint Fun Skate gives residents of all ages the opportunity to lace up their skates and enjoy time on the ice—free of charge. The program encourages families and individuals to stay active, connect with others, and engage in healthy recreational activities throughout the winter season. 

“Thanks to Flowpoint, friends and families can make memories, kids can develop skating skills, and everyone can enjoy free, active fun all winter,” said Teena Hughson, Morinville’s Community Engagement and Partnership Specialist. “It’s a terrific example of a partnership that enriches our community.” 

“Since opening in Morinville in 2018, we’ve made it a priority to support the community that has welcomed us,” said Allan Bradley, President of Flowpoint Environmental Systems. “The Flowpoint Fun Skate is a great way to give everyone a chance to connect and stay active, and we’re proud to help make that possible. We look forward to many more years of partnership with the Town of Morinville.” 

The Flowpoint Fun Skate returns Sunday, August 31, 2025. Full program details, including dates and times, will be available in Morinville’s Fall 2025 Program Guide—delivered to resident mailboxes and available online and at Town facilities starting Wednesday, August 6.

About the Morinville Leisure Centre 
Morinville Leisure Centre opened in May 2019. Amenities include: an NHL-sized arena, a field house, an indoor track, a fitness centre, a children’s play space, meeting rooms, a lobby, a concession and spectator areas.
