MCSnet Powers Community Connection in Morinville Through New Partnership

The Town of Morinville and MCSnet partner on a new naming rights agreement within the Morinville Leisure Centre

Morinville, Alta. – The Town of Morinville is proud to announce a new five-year naming-rights sponsorship with MCSnet, one of Alberta’s largest rural internet providers. Effective immediately, Court 2 in the Field House in the Morinville Leisure Centre (MLC) will officially be known as MCSnet Court. 

This partnership celebrates the power of connection as MCSnet and Morinville collaborate to enhance recreation, increase community engagement, and promote civic pride.

“This partnership is about connection in all its forms,” said Rhonda LaFrance, Chief Marketing Officer, MCSnet. “Just as MCSnet keeps Albertans connected through high-speed internet, we’re proud to help Morinville strengthen community connection through shared spaces and recreation.”

“Partnerships like this reflect our shared belief in connection,” said Teena Hughson, Community Engagement and Partnership Specialist for Morinville. “MCSnet’s investment helps enhance spaces where residents and visitors come together to stay active and build relationships, thereby strengthening our sense of community.”

Through the agreement, MCSnet will receive recognition within the MLC, on digital displays, on digital platforms, and at Morinville’s events or programs, while helping to support accessible, high-quality recreation for all residents.

About the Morinville Leisure Centre
Opened in May 2019, the Morinville Leisure Centre is home to the Landrex Arena, fitness centre, field house, indoor track and multi-use community spaces that host thousands of participants each year.
