Morinville Gears Up for a Fun-Filled Canada Day Celebration

Morinville, Alta. – Morinville is getting ready to celebrate Canada’s birthday in true community spirit with a fun-filled afternoon of free activities, entertainment and family-friendly fun on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Presented by Team Moore, Century 21 Masters, this vibrant outdoor celebration invites residents of all ages to gather to enjoy live music, interactive stations, games and more.

What to Expect at this Year’s Celebration

Hosted at the Ray McDonald Sports Grounds and Splash Park (9908 104 Street) from 12 to 3 p.m., this annual event features a wide variety of free activities. Attendees can look forward to:

Live music and a foam party
Face painting and inflatables
Cookies with Mayor and Council
Supersized colouring wall and photo booth
Medicine Wheel friendship bracelet activity
Meet and greet with Hunter from the Edmonton Oilers and the Morinville Fire Department
Purchase a bite to eat from the Street Food Named Desire food truck
Door prizes and more!

“Canada Day is about celebrating community, connection and the spirit of togetherness,” says Kathleen Ducharme, Events and Programs Coordinator. “We’re proud to offer something for all ages and invite residents to come out and make memories with family and friends.”
