Additionally, students living in Morinville that are registered in grades one through five in one of the following elementary schools: Morinville Public School/École Morinville Public School, École Notre Dame Elementary School or St. Kateri Tekakwitha Academy can enter a colouring contest for the chance to WIN one of two morning rides to school in a fire truck.
“Cooking is a daily activity for many people, and it is important that we keep fire prevention in mind,” explains Charles Lavallee, Deputy Fire Chief. “We will be sharing insight on practicing cooking safety such as never leaving a stove unattended, using timers, and having a fire extinguisher charged and on hand. Simple steps can greatly reduce the risk of cooking-related fires and minimize injuries, fatalities and property damage”.
