June 1 – 30, 2025 Recognized as Pride Month in Morinville 

Morinville, Alta. – June is recognized as Pride Month in Morinville. This is a time to celebrate the diversity of Morinville and reaffirm our commitment to creating a community where everyone is treated with dignity, respect and inclusion. Pride Month is also an opportunity to reflect on the importance of visibility, awareness and allyship as we work together to build a community that is welcoming, safe and supportive for all. 

Pride Month Events in Morinville 

Pride Picnic in the Park | Sunday, June 8 | 1 to 4 p.m. | Ray McDonald Sports Centre Grounds, 9908 104 Street 
Celebrate Love, diversity & community! Grab your friends, pack a lunch, and head to the park for an unforgettable afternoon of family-friendly live music, drag performances and more. 

Pride Flag Raising Ceremony | Tuesday, June 10 | 3 to 3:30 p.m. | Morinville Town Hall, 10125 100 Avenue  
Join us for the Pride Flag Raising Ceremony at Morinville Town Hall, featuring municipal speakers as we mark this important month with visibility, respect and celebration.

Morinville's Pride Month Proclamation  

Morinville’s proclamation recognizes that: 

• Discrimination, prejudice and harassment have no place in Morinville. 

• Equality is the foundation of a free and just society. 

• The ideas and perspectives of all citizens are valued.  

• Discrimination against gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, questioning and 2-spirit people must be prevented.
  
• The intent of Pride Month is to promote Morinville as a welcoming place for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities to attend school, work, raise a family, start a business and to live.
