What is the Coeur de Morinville Area Structure Plan Amendment About?

The purpose of the proposed Bylaw (3/2025) is to amend the Coeur de Morinville ASP to address existing regulatory barriers to residential redevelopment and infill within the plan area. The amendments eliminate redistricting policies in the ASP, applying the same process followed in the rest of the community and allowing areas previously designated for direct control districts to apply for existing standard land use districts instead. The proposed amendments aim to remove complex barriers to redevelopment and infill in the Coeur of Morinville. Changes to land use districts will still require Council approval through a Land Use Bylaw amendment and a public hearing.
