Structure Fire in Morinville

Morinville, Alta. – At approximately 5:45 a.m. this morning, the Morinville Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a fourplex condominium in Morinville. A full-scale response was initiated, with mutual aid support provided by St. Albert, Gibbons, Sturgeon County, and Alberta Health Services.

A total of nine firefighting apparatus and 33 firefighters responded to the scene, including 21 Morinville firefighters and 12 mutual aid firefighters. Thanks to their coordinated efforts, the fire was brought under control by 8:47 a.m. We are pleased to report that no injuries have been reported at this time.

Morinville Fire Department remains on site to monitor for flare-ups and support ongoing operations. The cause of the fire is not yet known, and investigators are now on scene to determine its origin.

We thank our regional mutual aid partners for their support and the community for their cooperation as crews continue their work.
