What to know

  • All classes are suitable for all fitness levels and abilities unless otherwise indicated.
  • Please bring your own yoga mat, water bottle and clean indoor footwear. Exercise bands may be purchased at the MLC for $6 each, or 2 for $10 + GST.
  • Group fitness program participants must be 16+ years (Youth Circuit 9+).
  • There will be no fitness classes on statutory holidays.
  • If you are not feeling well or are exhibiting any Covid-19 symptoms, please call Guest Services to withdraw if registered and do not attend. Fees may apply.
  • To keep everyone safe and healthy, we ask that you wash or sanitize your hands prior to participation and wipe equipment after use.

Class descriptions

 Bootcamp
Kick-start your day with a high energy full body workout! Build your strength, improve your cardiovascular fitness, rev up your metabolism and become and calorie burning machine. All fitness levels and abilities welcome!
Cardio Dance

This dynamic, fun and easy to follow dance-based fitness class will give you a great cardio workout while infusing music and rhythms such as Latin, top-40, jazz, hip hop, ballroom, K-pop and more! All fitness levels and abilities welcome. 

Core Express

This compact and effective class will focus on core strength and stability, followed by a stretch and mobility component to open tight muscles and joints. Work to strengthen and improve the function of the abdominals, back and glutes.

Learn to Run Club*

Add a new skill or challenge to your workout routine, by gradually learning to run up to a 5K. This program will begin with short walk/run intervals gradually building up your stamina and endurance towards a successful 5 km. Learn some basic techniques and safety considerations throughout. Bring a water bottle, a good pair of outdoor running shoes and lace up with us up to three times a week.

Silver Shoes
This class is a fun low-to-moderate intensity strength and conditioning class designed to get adults 50+ more active. You will improve your strength, balance, and cardiovascular fitness using basic movements and entertaining music. Movements can be modified to meet specific needs. (Although designed for 50+, all ages and abilities are welcome).
Silver Circuit
Designed for adults 50+ to train muscles using body weight and portable equipment in a functional way to support daily activities. This class will focus on flexibility, joint stability, balance, coordination, agility, muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance. (Although designed for 50+, all ages and abilities are welcome).

Tabata

Tabata alternates short, high intensity intervals with longer, slower intervals to recover. Tabata training improves athletic ability, supports daily activity and can also improve the ability to burn fat. Expect a variety of exercise formats.

Youth Circuit

Designed specifically for youth, this class will offer a variety of exercises in a circuit style format including intervals of cardio, strength, balance, agility and more. Parents are welcome to participate.
