Friday, November 28

12 to 5 p.m.
Musée Morinville Museum | 10010 101 Street, Morinville, AB

Visit the Musée Morinville Museum to view Christmas artifacts from the past and pick up a kit to make an ornament, while supplies last. Admission is free.

Kick off the weekend at the Lite Up the Nite Dance Party proudly presented by McDonald’s. Dress festive or cozy with Christmas PJs or sweaters; anything red or green; or your holiday best.

Dance the nite away with special guest, the Green Christmas Grouch!

McDonald's brings the magic to the Lite Up the Nite Dance Party with their signature concession and community spirit! Enjoy tasty treats from the McDonald's Concession in support of the Ronald McDonald House. Grab a snack.

Consider supporting the Ronald McDonald House by donating a new, unwrapped toy and purchasing something from the McDonald's concession. Receive a great giveaway* from McDonald’s. 

Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Tickets available starting November 3, 2025

  • Nov 3-5: Tickets available in-person at the MCCC box office for Morinville and Sturgeon County residents (16+). Proof of residency required.
  • Nov 6: Tickets open to the public at the MCCC, online, and by phone.

Tickets are required for every attendee. Limit 8 tickets per household. Please request only the tickets you’ll use so everyone has a chance to join in. If you are unable to attend, please return your tickets so they can be reissued to other families.

  • If you have online tickets that you no longer need, please contact Ticketpro at 1-888-655-9090 to return them to the online inventory for other families to access the tickets.
  • If you have physical tickets, you no longer need, please bring them to Community Services or the Morinville Leisure Centre so another family can have access to them.

If tickets for the Lite Up the Nite Dance Party tickets are currently sold out, you may join the waitlist.

When physical tickets become available:

  • Everyone on the waitlist will receive an email notification.
  • The email will include instructions on how to contact Community Services to claim tickets.
  • Tickets will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis once you contact Community Services.

Any tickets returned online will automatically be released back into the inventory at www.ticketpro.ca.

The parade travels west down 100 Avenue, from Grandin Drive to 103 Street, stopping in front of St. Jean Baptiste Park for the Lite Up the Park ceremony. Stop by the Shoppers Glow & Go Station at Lite Up the Park for free candy canes and glow sticks to light the way for Santa and spread holiday cheer. Join us for a special moment with the Mayor, special guests Santa and Mrs. Claus and Shoppers Drug Mart owner, Neire Monteiro, as we Lite Up the Park.

Enjoy the smooth sounds of the holidays before the parade begins. Say hi to the Breeze team, who will be on site, spreading cheer and helping us kick off the festivities in true community style.

840 CFCW Honourary Parade Marshal
Leading the Parade — 840 CFCW Returns as Honourary Parade Marshal! We’re thrilled to welcome 840 CFCW, Alberta’s country legend, back as this year’s Honourary Parade Marshal. Riding in the lead position, please give the CFCW team a big Morinville welcome as they kick off our Lite Up the Nite Parade in true country style!

To participate in the parade, complete a submission form by the end of the day on November 26. Visit www.engagemorinville.ca to complete a submission form.

Parade Weather Notice

If temperatures reach -25°C with or without wind chill, the parade will be cancelled to ensure the safety of participants, volunteers, and staff.

A final decision regarding the parade will be made on Friday, November 28, at 12 p.m. Updates will be posted on the Town of Morinville website and shared through official social media channels.

Notre Dame Park | 530 Grandin Drive, Morinville, AB

Take in a spectacular fireworks show from the perimeter Notre Dame Park or the comfort of your home. This high-level show can be enjoyed from nearly any place in Morinville.

Caution!
This is a loud noise event. 
Please do not enter Notre Dame Park to maintain a safe zone for the firework show.

Don some holiday gear and spread some holiday cheer with a free skate to holiday music! Plus, enjoy a free hot chocolate from Mama's Food Bar courtesy of the Town of Morinville. 

Participants must bring their own skates. No strollers, hockey sticks or pucks. CSA approved hockey helmets are required for anyone younger than age 18 and are recommended for anyone aged 18 and older. Children under 8 years must be actively supervised on the ice at all times by a responsible individual 16 years or older.
