Boards and Committees

Council boards and committees

Each year, Town Council appoints members of the community to its municipal boards and committees.

Morinville boards and committees are comprised of Council representatives, members of public and organization/group representatives. This is a wonderful opportunity for residents to take part in the decision making process on issues that affect our Town.

Generally, Council representatives serve 1-year terms and members of public and organization/group representatives serve 3-year terms (unless otherwise directed by legislation/bylaw or Council resolution). Members can be re-appointed for successive terms (unless otherwise directed by legislation/bylaw or Council resolution). Recruitment takes place every fall for terms that take effect November 1.

Applications for Council Remuneration Review Committee are now open (five members).
All applications will be accepted April 25 to May 31, 2024.

Applications will be reviewed, and select candidates will be invited to attend an interview prior to the end of May 2024.

Note: Members of Council, their family, or current employees of the Town of Morinville are not eligible to participate on this Committee
