General Infrastructure Construction Projects - 2024

1. Residential Road Rehabilitation Program-In Progress

This five-year road rehabilitation project will involve reconstruction of roads, replacement of concrete curbs, gutters, sidewalks and repairs to underground utilities.

Locations:97 Street (95 Ave to 97A Ave)
Timeline: June - September 2024
Impacts: If you are a resident living in the affected area, you can expect parking and driveway disruptions for several days during the construction period. Vehicle and pedestrian access will be controlled by flag persons during construction.

2. Arterial Road Rehabilitation Program- In Progress

This road project will focus on rehabilitation of deteriorating road pavement structure only by means of asphalt overlay.

Locations: Grandin Drive, north of 100th Ave and Grandin Drive South by Morinville Drive
Timeline: July - August 2024
Impacts: Traffic disruptions for several days during the construction period. Vehicle and pedestrian access will be controlled by flag persons during construction.

3. Grandin/100 Ave Intersection Traffic Signalization - In Progress

Location: Grandin Drive/100th Ave Intersection
Timeline: August - November 2024
Impacts: Barricaded sections with minimal traffic disruptions.

4. Sidewalk Rehabilitation Program -Completed

Location: Different locations through the Town
Timeline: June - October 2024
Impacts: Barricaded sections with minimal impacts

5. Parks Infrastructure Rehabilitation - In Progress

Location: Skylines
Timeline: September 2024
Impacts: Skyline will be closed and the green space north of skyline and west of fishing game club house will not be accessible during construction.

6. Town Hall Generator Installation & Commission - In Progress

Location: 10125 100 Ave Morinville, AB
Timeline: August - November 2024
Impacts: Restricted access to some areas of the Townhall lot and intermittent noise from the construction equipment.

7. Pedestrian Safety Improvements - In Progress

Location: Different locations through the Town
Timeline: July - October 2024
Impacts: Barricaded sections with minimal traffic impacts

1. Sanitary Trunk Sewer Relining - Completed

Location: 100 Ave by Grandin Dr.
Timeline: April 19-29 2024
Impacts: Traffic disruption for several days during construction period

Cathodic Protection: Morinville Waterline at AGLC - Completed
