Fire department history
In March 1950, at a Board of Trade meeting, a motion was passed that the town was in need of a twenty-two man volunteer brigade and a 1950 Dodge 3 Ton fire truck was purchased. A tower was erected with a siren behind the town office to alert the firefighters as calls came in. The Don Found Fire Station was opened in October 1986.
