Roseridge Waste Management Center

In addition to our weekly curbside collection, residents with a utility account can use their residential disposal permit to dispose of recycling, hazardous special products, yard waste and excess household waste at Roseridge Waste Management Center. Permits are issued at St. Germain Place (Civic Hall) located at 10125 100 Avenue. 

Roseridge Waste Management Center provides an environmentally safe facility for the economical disposal of waste and is managed by the Roseridge Waste Management Services Commission.

The Commission consists of a partnership of six municipalities – Sturgeon County, the Town of Redwater, Town of Legal, Town of Gibbons, Town of Bon Accord and ourselves.

Residential Disposal Permits

Residents with a utility account can use their permit to dispose of recycling, hazardous special products, yard waste and excess household waste at the Roseridge Waste Management Center.

  • Fees: Disposal costs are set by the Commission and added to your monthly utility bill, as outlined in the Waste Management Bylaw. A minimum charge of 125 kg per load applies.
  • Permit Use: You must present your permit card at the time of disposal.
  • Lost or Stolen Permits: Report immediately to prevent unauthorized charges. A $5 replacement fee applies.
  • Shared Use: If you lend your permit, you are responsible for all charges.
  • Renters: Permits are not issued to renters. Renters may only use the Roseridge Waste Management Center with permission from the homeowner.

Waste Sorting and Diversion at Roseridge

All loads are required to be sorted on site before disposal. Roseridge offers several options to help divert materials from the Waste Management Center:

  • Recycling Drop-Off: Plastics, metals, cardboard, and more
  • Composting Program: Organic waste is transformed into nutrient-rich soil
  • Reuse Centre: Accepts bicycles, gardening tools, wood furniture, sports equipment (excluding protective gear and underclothing), gently used construction materials, and home repair tools
  • Alberta Recycle Management Authority Collection Site: Tires, electronics, paint, and used oil

Use the Waste Management Center only for materials that cannot be reused, recycled or composted.
