We provide residents with weekly waste collection, as well as several special collection events including Christmas Tree Collection, Compost Giveaway, Household Hazardous Roundup, and Take-It or Leave-It.

 Curbside collection includes three streams

  • Garbage (grey cart) - collected weekly.
  • Organics (green cart) - collected weekly from May to October and then monthly (third week of the month) from November to April.
  • Recycling (blue bag) - unlimited, collected weekly.

We contract out waste services, which is provided by Green for Life Environmental (GFL). Learn more from our Waste Management Bylaw and the Recycling Council of Alberta.

When is my collection day?

Garbage, organics and recycling are all collected on the same day and must be curbside by 7 a.m.

  • Tuesday if you live north of 100 Avenue (Highway 642) or in South Glens.
  • Wednesday if you live south of 100 Avenue (Highway 642).
  • View our Waste Collection Schedule.

The Town-owned numbered carts are assigned to each property's utility account. If you move, leave the carts for the next occupant.
