We provide residents with weekly waste collection, as well as special collection events including Christmas Tree Collection and Household Hazardous Roundup.
Curbside collection includes three streams
- Garbage (grey cart) - collected weekly.
- Organics (green cart) - collected weekly from May to October and then monthly (third week of the month) from November to April.
- Recycling (blue bag) - unlimited, collected weekly, view list of acceptable blue bag items.
We contract out waste services, which are provided by Green for Life Environmental (GFL). Learn more from our Waste Management Bylaw and the Recycling Council of Alberta.

Curbside collection requirements
Follow these instructions to ensure your waste or organics carts are collected.
- Place your cart curbside by 7 a.m.
- Ensure cart lids are fully closed.
- Garbage cart (grey): place all garbage in bags or boxes inside the cart, no loose rubbish.
- Organics cart (green): place yard waste and organics directly into the cart.
- Ensure there is at least one metre distance from all obstacles such as fences, cars, other carts or blue bags.
- Should snow clearing occur on the same day as curbside waste collection, residents should place their carts and blue bags in the centre of their driveway (30 cm or 1 foot from the end). During snow clearing carts cannot be on the road, sidewalk or in the gutter.
