The following special collection events are available to our residents:

Household Hazardous Waste Roundup - Roseridge Waste Management

A Household Hazardous Waste Roundup will take place on May 11, 2024, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Morinville Leisure Centre parking lot.

Large Item Collection

Beginning in June 2024 we will be offering an annual large item collection, the first collection dates will be June 11 and 12, 2024, and will coincide with your scheduled waste collection days.

 

Residents can place out up to two items (washer/dryer pairs or couch sets count as one item). If rain is forecasted during the large item collection residents are not required to cover items, if you do cover any item please be aware that the covering may be collected along with the item you have placed out.


Guidelines for large item collection:

  • Houses with back alleys must place large items out front of property for collection.
  • Items must be placed curbside by 7 am on day of collection.
  • Please place a note on items (basketball and hockey nets, lawn mowers, wheelbarrows, rain barrels, bicycles etc.) to help identify it as being out for pick up.
  • All items must be less than 6 feet by 3 feet (1.8 meters x 0.9 meters) and weigh less then 200 lbs. (90 kg).

Natural Christmas Tree Collection 

2024 dates for tree collection: January 9, 10 , 16, & 17

Pick up will coincide with your scheduled waste collection days.

  • Natural trees only
  • Remove all tinsel and decorations
  • Unwrap trees, do not place in a tarp or bag
  • Place trees lying flat on the ground (not planted in the snowbank) near the curb ensuring sidewalks are not blocked
  • If your tree collection was missed, contact Public Works 780-939-2590 to provide the address of your discarded tree
  • Trees are processed though a chipper and chips are used in Morinville parks and landscaping
