Wellness and Recreation Access Program

Wellness and Recreation Access Program (WRAP) is designed to support low-income individuals and families in Morinville to participate in the Town of Morinville's fitness, recreation and FCSS programming. 

Qualified applicants can receive up to $250 per person.

Applications must be renewed every calendar year.

  • Resident of the Town of Morinville
  • Applicants are required to submit the following documents along with their applications:
    • Alberta ID showing a Morinville address (e.g. driver's license or utility bill)
    • Either a current tax assessment or the last 90 days of bank statements to verify income
  • For applicants receiving AISH, Income Support or Alberta Seniors Benefits:
    • Proof of receipt of AISH, Income Support or Alberta Seniors Benefits
  • Extraordinary circumstance as assessed by FCSS Social Worker
  • To be eligible for funding, individuals must first meet specific financial criteria as per Revenue Canada’s Low-Income Cut-Offs (LICO) chart see below. Please see below for references.

The WRAP offers subsidy for the following: 

1) Morinville Leisure Centre memberships

2) Town of Morinville programs

3) Family and Community Social Services (FCSS)

4) Community Care pass

  • If you are a local Morinville Agency offering residential support you may be eligible for day passes for clients.
